Research workshop

The annual UoC IMPACT research workshops focus on four main areas: (1.) Research questions (2.) Methods (3.) Analyses (4.) Third-party funding applications

We cordially invite all interested parties to the 1stUoC IMPACT research workshop !

When? On May 13, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Where? In the dean's office room of the Faculty of Human Sciences (room 0.105) in the HF main building (216), Gronewaldstraße 2.

We will discuss the following questions:

  • In which contexts do you deal with research questions and intersectional gender perspectives?
  • What possibilities are there for integrating intersectional gender perspectives into research questions?
  • What does it mean in your discipline/field/topic area to consider intersectional gender aspects in research (questions)? How natural, easy or difficult is this?

We would like to discuss these and other topics in the workshop on the basis of specific projects. Many researchers at the University of Cologne already take gender into account in their research. We would like to discuss the fact that this is possible in very different ways and can be expanded to include intersectional dimensions. In addition, there are people who have not yet been able to establish this as they would perhaps like and we would also like to discuss the hurdles that exist. The workshop would like to bring together interdisciplinary examples and cordially invite all members to present their projects!

Registration: Please register by 22.04. lkrall@uni-koeln.deand indicate whether you plan to simply participate or would like to present your own work and experience with the implementation of gender aspects at the level of the research question in a 5-minute input.
