Peer Network

The goal of the university-wide IMPACT Peer Network is to intensify and institutionalize the connection of researchers at the University of Cologne who are already familiar with analytical perspectives on gender and diversity. The peer network serves two main purposes:
(1) Empowering Researchers:The network aims to support researchers by enhancing their visibility and reach, while also fostering the development of academic expertise through interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary exchange.
(2) Building Multipliers and Mentors:Researchers in the network will act as multipliers and mentors, drawing attention to intersectional gender perspectives within their disciplines and across the university, contributing to the broader integration of these perspectives into research questions.

On the IMPACT website, peer network members will be showcased along with their research focuses. Additionally, the website will feature all relevant offerings and events for peers and other interested researchers, as well as related publications, contacts, and other initiatives.

Four IMPACT Research Workshops:Over the project period, four workshops will be conducted, focusing on the opportunities and challenges of integrating intersectional gender perspectives into:a) Research questions,b) Methods,c) Analyses, andd) Grant applications.

Interdisciplinary Two-Day Symposium (2026):A major two-day interdisciplinary symposium will be held mid-project to facilitate professional networking among recruited and potential fellows, members of the IMPACT Peer Network, discipline-specific networks, and the broader public.
